Short description of advertisement:
Portuguese SME seeks partners working with renewable energy efficiency innovative products in order to establish a commercial agency agreement or distribution services agreement

A Belgian multinational active in consumer goods looks for antiperspirant/deodorant or body care sprays solutions improving the consumer's product experience while coping with strict safety and environmental regulations. Technical collaboration or license agreements are sought with industry or R&D centres.

A Belgian multinational based in Brussels and active in consumer goods wishes to improve its portfolio of body sprays with products which better tackle and comply with the evolving safety and environmental landscape. These latter have regulations driving up the cost of packaging, filling/packing, transportation and storage of propellants.
The consumer landscape is also evolving, with more consumers seeking solutions that are perceived as safer (e.g. aluminum-free) and more environmentally-responsible (e.g. non-aerosol products).

Underarm and body sprays are a growing form across the globe, and particularly in North America where it has grown ~30% over the past 3 years.

Sprays offer a unique “non-contact” application and skin feel experience that some consumers prefer.

They also offer the delivery of ingredients to wider surface areas (e.g. delivery of fragrance via body sprays).  Traditionally sprays have used hydrocarbon-based propellants for ideal spray performance and pressure generated by propellant enables break-up of liquid formulation (often dispersed with powders/clays) into a fine, sprayable mist.

But due to the above-mentioned market and consumer evolution, these new constraints bring difficult technical challenges and/or trade-offs to resolve. For example:

  • Antiperspirancy/wetness-reduction without aluminum-based actives
  • Dry-feel application aesthetics from a non-propellant delivery mechanism
  • Dosing/control challenges (especially with pump sprays or non-hydrocarbon propellants)

With the aim of complying with regulations and expectation, this company is looking for antiperspirant/deodorant spray innovation that overcome the different constraints.

And this through partnerships in the form of technical cooperation or license agreements as detailed in the "Partner sought" section.
